Isaure and Calvin Robinson welcome you to CIR workshop, in Paris, and put their know-how as artistic bronziers at the service of the restoration and creation of bronze art objects.
CIR workshop Paris specializes in the restoration of bronzes, chandeliers and antique lighting (high period, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries), as well as in gilding on wood.
On a daily basis, we restore pieces while respecting the techniques and style of their time:
chandeliers, light fixtures, lanterns, ceiling lights, wall lights, girandoles, candlesticks, candelabras, candle holders, bouillotte lamps, reading lights, torchieres, torches, pendant lights, table lamps, desk lamps, etc.
Bronze, like brass, copper, silver metal, solid silver, regula, wrought iron, cast iron, are all metals that we work with.
As an art bronze maker, we also restore decorative bronzes and furnishing bronzes in our workshop:
clocks, cartels, pendulums, barometer-thermometers, furnishing bronzes, statuary bronzes, sculptures, putti, inkwells, planters, casseroles, fireplace trims, bronze fires, decorative bronzes, andirons, cups, mounted vases, medals, ornaments, perfume burners, mounted objects, old locks and keys.
Presentation of the CIR Paris workshop, bronze and lighting
Calvin Robinson, art bronzer since 2007, trained in prestigious Parisian workshops.
His career led him to explore numerous artistic craft professions: carpentry-cabinetry, foundry, artistic ironwork, carving, gilding, then bronze assembly and bronzework.
Originally trained as a carpenter-cabinetmaker, he gradually moved towards the creation and restoration of chandeliers and lighting fixtures. His passion for the decorative arts of the 18th century led him to open the doors of numerous Parisian artisan workshops, where he acquired, over the years, in-depth traditional know-how, inherent to bronze work.
A lover of old objects, he today gives a second life to the pieces entrusted to him with taste, elegance and sensitivity, while respecting the techniques and spirit of their time.
Calvin has passed this passion for the profession of art bronzer on to his wife, Isaure, with whom he has worked hand in hand for around ten years, driven by the desire to perpetuate this exceptional artisanal know-how.
The team was enriched three years ago by Réjane, a graduate in art history (specializing in contemporary art). Trained internally, she now participates in all stages of the work of an artistic bronzier and the restoration of old lighting fixtures.
